$50M Lawsuit Against Hillary Clinton Was Filed By One Of Her Own Party

In 2016, it was very obvious that Hillary Clinton was upset after she failed to win the election.

The moment Donald Trump was announced the winner Hillary’s dreams of becoming the first female President fell apart.

However, Hillary seems to be in the limelight due to ruining the chances of another democratic party.

Clinton made remarks against another candidate during a podcast appearance with David Plouffe, a Democratic strategist.

Hillary’s remarks on the podcast created backlash at the time.

Clinton was later asked if her remarks were referring to another candidate, Tulsi Gabbard.

Gabbard was gaining popularity in the polls after the first few debates as voters preferred her direct approach and military experience.

Until Hillary ruined her chances by accusing her of being a Russian asset.

Clinton said in an interview:

I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate. She’s the favorite of the Russians. They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far.”

The two women have history of not seeing eye to eye with each other.

Especially since Hillary permanently damaged the Hawaii congresswoman’s reputation.

Gabbard was one of the first prominent Democrats to back Bernie Sanders during the Presidential race in 2016.

Gabbard referred to Clinton as ‘the queen of warmongers… and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long.’

The US defamation and libel laws give wide leeway for attacking public figures.

Gabbard is seeking unspecified compensation and prevention of a further spread of her comments.

Tulsi must show that the defendant acted with actual malice to recover damages from Clinton.

The lawsuit alleges that Clinton ‘harmed her political and personal rival’s reputation and ongoing presidential campaign’ and started a ‘damaging whisper campaign based on baseless, but vicious, untruths‘.

Gabbard’s lawsuit mentions this by stating the following:

In February 2016, Tulsi believed the best Democratic presidential candidate for our country was Senator Bernie Sanders. She also knew that Clinton had a stranglehold over the Democratic party and that crossing Clinton (who considered herself the “inevitable nominee”) could mean the end of her own political career.

Yet Tulsi put the country before herself, and she publicly endorsed Senator Sanders, becoming the most prominent politician to do so at the time. Clinton – a cutthroat politician by any account – has never forgotten this perceived slight. And in October 2019, she sought retribution by lying, publicly and loudly, about Tulsi Gabbard.”

Clinton refused to apologize or retract her statements.
